How to setup this Wireless Router(R)?

NOTE：Please check if you can get on line when your computer connects to your modem directly. If not, please consult your internet service provider or cable company. If you can get on line, please do the following steps.

I, Physical connection:



1.   Take an Ethernet cable to connect your modem with the blue WAN port of the router.

2.   Then take another Ethernet cable to connect your computer with one of the yellow LAN port of the router.

3.   Please check the LED lights on the router after connection. Make sure SYS light is blinking ,WLAN light is on or blinking ,one of LAN ports (12,3,4) is on，WAN light is on or blinking

II, Login to the management page of the router:

1、open your web browser  (IE, Firefox,Safari,etc) ,find the address bar, leave it blank and type 192.168.0.1  Press enter.

2、Then you can see the following page, input default  user name and password:  admin, then click ok.

3、Then you will see the following homepage of tenda router. You can see Welcome to Setup Wizard.



Click on Next in this page, and then choose your Internet Type,fill it your information,then Apply. If you don’t know which one you should choose, please click Auto Detect or consult your provider (Cable Company).



III, Click on System status on the left side to check the connection status (if it is connected, then you can get on line now).  You can skip directly to step IV.

If connection status shows disconnected, please check if the modem is well connected to the router by cable.



If the connection status shows connecting, please try the ways as following:

(1).click on refresh on the page, check system status in the middle page, please checks connection status->WAN IP. If connection status is connected and WAN ip is not 0.0.0.0, you can get online now. If not, please go to the next step.

(2) Please Click Advanced Settings on the left side, choose MAC address Clone. Then click on “Clone MAC address” and then click on “Apply” to save your settings. The router will reboot. After the reboot, please go back to check the Connection status and WAN IP again.



 If it is still connecting, please go to the next step.

(3)If it is still connecting and the WAN IP is 0.0.0.0, please power off your modem and router, then power them on, go back to the homepage of tenda router .then click System status in the middle page, and find connection status and WAN IP. If it is still the same, please contact us!

 IV, Steps to do wireless settings

1.   Please Click WLAN Settings, then click Basic Settings to set the name of your wireless network, please change the SSID to tenda123 (the name of wireless network) and choose channel 6, then click Apply to save the settings.

3.   Click WLAN Settings, then click Security Settings to set the password. Please choose WPA-Personal as Security Mode and AES as WPA Algorithms. In the blank of the Pass Phrase, please type your password which should be at least eight characters, then click Apply to save.

V．Connect computers to Internet wirelessly.

Please find the name of your wireless network (it is SSID which is your family name) and connect to it. It will require you to input password, please type password (It is the passphrase which was made by yourself just now.) After that, you can enjoy the internet wirelessly.

1. Go to 3G186R manage page and click Advanced


 2. Quick Setup->Next

3. Choose Auto APN OR Manual APN, click Next   



4. Next


5. choose connect , click Next
 

6. You can change the SSID, then click Next

8. After click save. 3G186R will reboot and you have to reconnect your WIFI

3G150B-How to setup 3G Router Mode

3G150B-How to setup 3G Router Mode?
Product line: 3G                 Question category: Internet settings
 Note: 3G150B has three working modes: AP mode, Wireless Router mode, 3G Router mode. The default working mode of 3G150B is AP mode, while you insert a 3G modem to the 3G150B, it will transfer to 3G Router mode automatically. The default LAN IP address of 3G150B is 192.168.2.1. Under the 3G Router Mode, the IP address can be obtained automatically.

 The topology should be as below.



The Steps are as below:
Part 1: Get the parameters of 3G USB modem that you need type in the 3G WAN Setting.
1. Please insert the 3G modem on your computers and install the program for 3G USB Modem
2. Running the program of 3G USB Modem and connect to the Internet.
3. Record the relevant parameters that you need type in the 3G Settings page of 3G150B on the program installed for 3G modem like the picture attached:



Part 2: Configurations on the 3G150B:
1. Please plug 3G USB modem to the 3G150B, connect your computer to the LAN/WAN port of 3G150B with Ethernet cable. And the computer will obtain IP address from the router automatically.
2. Login to the management page of the 3G150B by inputting
http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar of your web browser. The default Password is “admin”.




3. In the initial page settings of 3G150B, please click “Advanced Settings”, then you can login to the homepage of the 3G150B.


4. Click Advanced SettingsàWAN Settings. In the box of the ISP, search your ISP. If you can find yours, just select it. And the relevant parameters will appear automatically. At last click OK to save. As it shown below:

  
  If you can’t find your ISP in the box of the ISP, choose OTHER. And then you should type the relevant parameters which must be match with those of your 3G USB modem. After you finish the type, click OK to save. As it shown below:



5. Please click Wireless Settings, then click Basic Settings, in the new page, please change the SSID (SSID is the name of your wireless network) and select Channel 1 or Channel 6 or Channel 11 as the Channel. Then click OK to save the Settings.


6. Click Wireless Security within Wireless Settings, choose WPA- PSK as the Security mode, AES as the WPA Algorithms, and in the box of passphrase, please input your password for your wireless network (Password should be at least 8 characters, just letters and numbers). Then click OK to save the Settings.

  
7. The settings for the 3G Router mode of 3G150B are done. You can get online with wire or wirelessly.

I. Physical connection:

III、Steps to do wireless settings

1、click on wireless –>basic on the left menu ,please change SSID (it is your wireless network name)for other name, and then held on Apply

2、click on wireless –>security on the left menu ,please disable WPS setting ,select Network Authentication to WPA-PAK or WPA2-PSK,change WPA Encryption to AES, and then WPA passphrase ( please type in at least 8 numbers or letters).

IV. Connect computers to Internet wirelessly.
Please find the name of your wireless network (it is SSID which is your family name) and connect to it. It will require you to input password, please type password (It is the passphrase which was made by yourself just now.)


When your SSID (wireless network) shows connected, that means you can access to the Internet wirelessly, now you can try to unplug the cable between your computer and your tenda router to see if you can enjoy your Internet wirelessly.

3G150B-How to setup the Router Mode?

 Note: 3G150B has three working modes: AP mode, Wireless Router mode, 3G Router mode. The default working mode of 3G150B is AP mode, while if you insert a 3G modem to the 3G150B, it will transfer to 3G Router mode automatically. The default LAN IP address of 3G150B is 192.168.2.1.Under the Wireless Router Mode, we can login to the homepage of 3G150B only by wireless signal.

The topology should be as below：


The Steps are as below:
I: change to wireless router mode
1．Connect your computer to the LAN/WAN port of 3G150B by an Ethernet cable. And then change the IP address of your computer to 192.168.2.X (X can be 2--254) manually.
2．Login the homepage of the 3G150B by inputting
http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar of your web browser. The default Password is “admin”




3．In the initial setting page of 3G150B, please click “Advanced Settings”, then you can login to the homepage of the 3G150B.



4．Click on Wireless settings->basic settings, you can see the picture as below. Please choose 11b/g/n mixed mode, change the SSID to tenda123 (the name of wireless network) and choose channel 6, then click OK to save the settings.

 
5．In the homepage of 3G150B, please click Enable Router, and tick Enable Wireless Router, then click OK. The router will reboot automatically.



6．Now we can remove the Ethernet cable between your computer and the 3G150B. We can login to the homepage of the 3G150B wirelessly. Please connect to the wireless signal of 3G150B on your laptop.



II: setup the wireless router
1. Please login to the homepage of the 3G150B again by input
http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar of your web browser. The default Password is “admin”.

2. Click Advanced SettingsàWAN settings, in the drop down menu of Mode, please choose the internet connection type of yours (if you don’t know which one you should choose, please consult Cable Company) as the picture below. And click Ok to save the settings.



3. Click on Wireless settings->wireless security, you can see the following page.


Security Mode: choose WPA-PSK
Cipher Type: choose AES
Key: set it by yourself (it is the password of your wireless network)
Then click OK to apply
4. The settings for the Wireless Router mode of 3G150B are done. You can use your computers to connect to the wireless signal of 3G150B.
II, connect computers to Internet wirelessly
Please find the name of your wireless network (it is SSID tenda123) and connect to it. It will require you to input password, please type password (It is the key which was made by yourself just now.) After that, you can enjoy the internet wirelessly.

How to setup wireless router mode for the 3G router

How to setup wireless router mode for 3G Router?

 The Connection Topology




The Steps are as below:
 I: set up the router
 1. Connect the Device following the topology: the computer connects to the yellow LAN port on the router with Ethernet cable, the blue WAN port of the router connects to the modem’s LAN port with Ethernet cable.
 2. Login to the router’s home page.
 3．Click Setup Wizard to choose the connection of yours (for example: DHCP) and click Next.


 4. Click Apply to save the settings


 5. Please click System Status to check whether the router has connected to the Internet Successful. 



Note:

 1.   When the Connection Status shows Connected, and the router gets the WAN IP, it means that you can access the Internet.

 2.   When the Connection Status shows Disconnected, it means that there are some problems with the WAN Connection. please check hardware connection

 3.   When the Connection Status shows Connecting, please try the steps as below

  a. Click Advanced Settings, then click MAC Address Clone to clone your computer’s mac address to the router’s WAN port, then click Apply to save the setting and the router will reboot.

 b.  Click LAN Settings under Advanced Settings to change the LAN IP address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.10.1, then click Apply to save your setting and the router will reboot.

 c. If the Connection Status is still Connecting, please power off the modem and router and power them back on to check connection status.

II: set up wireless

 1.    Click on WLAN Settings, then click on wireless basic settings, in the middle page main SSID (please change it to your family name) and channel (please choose channel 1 or 6 or 11)

 2.    Go back to WLAN settings, click on security settings,  in the middle page , find security mode(select WPA-personal),then find WAP  Algorithms( please choose AES), then find passphrase( please type in at least 8 numbers or letters, it is the password or security key for your wireless network ,so you should remember it .After all the settings, please clicks Apply.

 3.   Go back to WLAN Settings, then click on WPS settings, in the middle page, click on save.

III: connect computers to Internet wirelessly.

Please find the name of your wireless network (it is SSID which is your family name) and connect to it. It will require you to input password, please type password (It is the passphrase which was made by yourself just now.)



When the SSID (wireless network) shows connected, that means you can access to the Internet wirelessly, now you can try to unplug the cable between your computer and your Tenda router to see if you can enjoy your Internet wirelessly.
